About The Position

As a Surgery Scheduler with our Urogynecology practice located in Media, PA, you will play a crucial role in patient interaction and scheduling. Your responsibilities will include scheduling office procedures, follow-up appointments, and any necessary testing required by the doctor. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure all patient demographics are correct, insurance is verified prior to procedures, and pre-certifications are acquired. You will also review necessary medical preparations for the day of surgery and discuss follow-up with patients. Requirements

• Three years of experience in a specialty physician's office.
• Strong knowledge of managed care payors.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures preferred.
• Scheduling experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients to schedule office procedures, follow-up appointments, and testing.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance prior to procedures.
