About The Position

The Surgery Scheduler at Coastal Carolina Bariatric Center plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality and efficient patient care by coordinating surgical schedules and obtaining necessary clinical information. Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, such as an ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctor's office.
• BLS certification may be required as per practice standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with scheduling in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 Diagnosis codes and other clinical information from practice staff.
• Determine O.R. time needed for procedures and coordinate scheduling with the facility.
• Ensure all requirements for procedures are confirmed with the facility, including medical records and necessary equipment.
• Verify physician credentials at the Center or Facility before scheduling patients.
• Coordinate provider clinic and facility schedules, including awareness of provider commitments and continuing education.
