About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes Diagnostic Centers, Outpatient Surgery and a 24-hour Emergency Department. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will ensure all proper documentation is completed for patients registering for procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to type at 40WPM

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience as a secretary in an acute care imaging setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Medical terminology and computer knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Deliver imaging materials to other departments and nursing units as requested.
  • Conduct data entry and retrieval of information from the appropriate information systems.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule and advise a supervisor of any items needed.
  • Submit ideas for department quality or performance improvement.
  • Provide customer service by answering and routing telephone calls.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of responsible duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in monthly department meetings.
