About The Position
The Surgical Services Scheduler performs the duties required to schedule patients for surgery. Experience with surgical scheduling is necessary, cerner experience preferred. The role involves communicating any preparations needed to the patient and relaying the information to all areas within surgical services. The scheduler will review physician orders and submit them to IR/Cath per procedure protocol, schedule recurring/STAT procedures, and handle high volume patient/physician phone interactions. Demonstrating Service Excellence at all times is crucial, along with other duties as assigned.
