The Scheduler functions under the direction of the Practice/Office Manager and Director of Practice Operations. This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. The individual must be knowledgeable about existing lines of communication and authority, handle communications properly, and be dependable and cooperative. They will work with staff, understand appropriate scheduling processes, and be willing to learn procedures and patient preparations. The Scheduler will assist physicians and office staff with scheduling issues in a timely manner and manage a heavy phone volume. Flexibility with work hours is required to meet department needs.
