It is essential to maintain accurate records associated with scheduling and the processing of patient documentation. The use of automated systems to support scheduling functions is a key aspect of the job. All tasks must be performed in a cost-effective manner without compromising the quality of care. The position upholds the business office philosophy and objectives while adhering to federal and state guidelines, including CMS, Medicare, and OIG requirements. A professional demeanor and appearance must be projected while maintaining the confidentiality of patients and coworkers. Good communication with other staff, as well as internal and external customers, is crucial, including keeping the office manager informed of any problems. The role also requires performing all other duties as assigned and the ability to work under pressure in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina, and endurance.
