About The Position

Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add a meticulous and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on our Surgery Team. You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in Specialty, Emergency, or Critical Care medicine.
  • LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required.
  • In-depth understanding of basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Advanced skill set in monitoring anesthesia and managing patients.
  • Attention to detail with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of anesthetic and sedated procedures on the Surgery Team.
  • Monitor anesthesia and manage patients for a variety of abdominal, thoracic, orthopedic, and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Perform surgical prepping and positioning.
  • Calculate and administer CRI medications appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
