About The Position

The Surgery Center Nurse Lead is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to CCRM's IVF patients undergoing egg retrieval, GYN procedures, and embryo transfer. This role requires advanced skills and knowledge in the care of surgery and infertility patients, ensuring a smooth surgical care experience. The Lead Nurse supervises and coordinates patient care staff, oversees daily operations, and collaborates with physicians to meet patient care needs.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Current State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in operating room nursing, PACU, or critical care.
  • 3+ years of nursing experience in other RN roles.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • 1+ years of laparoscopy experience.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in a fertility clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care in all areas, including preparation of supplies and cleaning of instruments.
  • Oversee daily operations in the Surgery Center and serve as a resource for staff and physicians.
  • Supervise, schedule, hire, and train patient care staff at designated offices.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, counseling, and disciplining employees as necessary.
  • Manage staffing levels in accordance with patient volume and ensure sufficient staff availability.
  • Assist with purchasing supplies, medications, and surgical equipment.
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is functional and available for patient care.
  • Assist with policy development and compliance with health standards.
  • Complete credentialing processes for medical staff and report any concerns to the medical director.
  • Coordinate ongoing peer review and infection control programs.
  • Participate in quality management and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Handle emergent situations and ensure team training on OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
