Surfacing Operator, 3rd Shift

Your Contribution• Operates a variety of cutting, generating grinding polishing, cleaning equipment and performs related job functions. • Operates one or more cutting, generating, grinding, polishing or cleaning equipment according to written process specifications, as well as to production standards. • Performs in-process visual and mechanical inspections; initiates corrective action or informs Group Leader or Supervisor of deviations from standards. • Performs TPM on required equipment, updates sheets as necessary. • Performs setups, start ups/shut downs and makes adjustments to machines. • Completes labor sheets, routers, log sheets, process forms and similar reports and forms. • Assists in the training of less qualified operators. • Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program. • Able to meet utilization targets and standard times. • Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer. • Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers. • Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of gauging and measuring equipment preferred.
