Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimally 5 years' experience.
• US citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance are required.
• Strong knowledge of DoD transportation policies and deployment processes, specifically U.S. Army surge deployment processes.
• Ability to coordinate and work with multiple DoD and interagency offices to reach consensus.
• Experience with JLOTS and associated sealift assets and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide deliberate planning expertise for Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore meetings between DoD, DOT, and commercial surface carrier representatives, allowing the group to objectively assess wartime requirements and apply optimal capacity to satisfy.
• Collect and analyze lessons learned from exercises.
• Provide analytical, technical, and administrative support in facilitating conduct of Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore initiatives and concepts, e.g., seabasing, Marine Highway, port readiness, and other infrastructure programs for highway, rail, and seaports.
• Utilize DoD, commercially available, and open-source information to provide pertinent information as required to government program managers.
• Provide recurring assessments of economic indicators and influencers on the commercial transportation industries that USTRANSCOM relies upon, and impacts to available capacity on at least a monthly basis or as significant events impact commercial capacity.
• Possess substantial knowledge of modal indicators to identify industry trends that affect commercial capacity available to support the JDDE.
• Apply knowledge and experience in the commercial air, sea, and surface industry to assist the Government in ensuring the availability and readiness of commercial capacity required for operations in support of DoD and national requirements.
