We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surface Mining Sales Representative to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving sales and managing relationships with dealers and customers in the Northern South America and Caribbean region. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the mining industry and possess outstanding customer focus, effective communication, and indirect leadership and influence skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in the mining industry or technical sales.
  • Strong commercial background with an understanding of machines’ applications.
  • Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches.
  • Experience and ability to create a market-oriented, customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to address complex issues.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services.
  • Ability to lead and manage dealer relationships.
  • Experience in performing regular sales performance reviews with dealers.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA.
  • Project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage dealers' relationships to market company products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability.
  • Provide commercial, marketing & sales support for the assigned territory and dealers.
  • Understand and sell the value of Caterpillar solutions - machines, technology, services.
  • Meet annual business plan targets.
  • Support dealers in developing comprehensive deal strategies.
  • Develop strategies for growth for each assigned dealer.
  • Measure & improve dealer value selling capabilities.
