About The Position

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our operations near Brookwood, Alabama. Mining positions may be required to work various shifts, rotating schedules, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate various size dozers, loaders, haulage trucks and other various equipment associated with a preparation plant in a safe and efficient manner. The Heavy Equipment Operator will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain good punctuality and attendance.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a mining environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good organizational, time management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op check of machinery to be used.
• Push coal into raw and clean coal feeders.
• Push refuse on rock dump area.
• Perform rough grading and spreading of materials for roads.
• Loading or unloading trucks.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping trash picked up and practicing good housekeeping standards in work areas.
• Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
