About The Position
OceanaGold’s Haile Mine is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join the team to operate a variety of haul trucks. The role involves ensuring the haul truck is operated safely and in accordance with company procedures, reporting any operational hazards to the Supervisor, and ensuring the haul truck is operated for reliability (O4R). Operators will be responsible for operating the haul truck productively while maximizing machine life and performance, communicating via 2-way radio, assisting in mine support activities as necessary, and performing pre-shift inspections and documenting appropriately. The position requires working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule for days and nights.
