About The Position

Mervin Manufacturing home of Lib Tech, GNU, Roxy and Bent Metal is a leading designer and manufacturer of snowboarding, skiing, surfing and skateboarding products built at the world’s most environMENTAL factory by people who ride them. Mervin Manufacturing was founded by snowboarders Mike Olson and Pete Saari in 1977. In an industry where virtually every other snowboard, ski, skateboard, and surfboard company has moved production to China or offshore, Mervin is the longest running and last major board building factory in the USA. Based out of Carlsborg, Washington, between the rugged Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges, Mervin is a direct link between riding and manufacturing. Job purpose Prep and assemble parts for surfboard production and assemble foam blanks with all parts

Requirements

• No experience required - we will train you!
• Must be 18 or older on first day of employment.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job repetitively.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• Must have a reasonable understanding of the integral components of the product and process.
• Strong communication skills.
• Will be working with hands 100% of the time.
• Dependable
• Team player

Nice To Haves

• Strong eye-hand coordination is a plus.
• Experience with power tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut fiberglass for fin boxes
• Punch fin boxes out on dye press
• Apply fiber glass graphics and fin boxes to foam blank
• Cut glass on CNC machine
• Cut lantosoric on Eastman
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work safely
• Other duties may be assigned
