About The Position

The Supervisor of Lab Draw Site at BayCare Health System is responsible for managing the work processes related to the collection, receiving, and processing of outreach specimens for testing. This role involves communication with nursing staff and clients regarding patient specimens, referring specimens to outside laboratories, and developing policies and procedures. The supervisor will also assist in various projects and interact with physicians, clients, and staff while prioritizing, delegating, and coordinating both technical and administrative functions in the outreach areas.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED is required.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Lab Assistant certification is required.
• Knowledge of Cerner LIS and Invision - SMS is required.
• Laboratory-related experience is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Medical Technologist license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work processes in the areas of collection, receiving, and processing of outreach specimens for testing.

• Develop policies and procedures for lab operations.
• Assist in various projects related to lab operations.
