About The Position

The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing warehouse employees engaged in the storage, shipment, and receipt of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. This role involves establishing departmental procedures and standards, ensuring proper warehousing and inventory control procedures are in place and audited regularly. The supervisor will work closely with Planning and Operations to ensure blends are pulled as needed to meet packaging schedule needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least three (3) years of warehouse or inventory control experience.
  • One (1) year of experience directing the activities of warehouse or inventory control staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and large scale ERP applications.
  • Ability to organize thoughts, plans, and proposals in both oral and written communications.
  • Ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Possess a valid forklift license or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) are a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Visalia warehouse.
  • Requisition and coordinate inbound packaging materials to coincide with packaging schedules and customer shipments.
  • Communicate and schedule with carriers for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Direct the inventory transfers and movements of all inventory products within the plant facility.
  • Direct the organization of stored products to maximize utilization of space, product rotation, and product accessibility.
  • Responsible for the security and accountability of goods within the Visalia Warehouse.
  • Regularly audit the inventory of warehoused products and supplies to achieve a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure that goods are packaged and protected for shipment according to specification.
  • Coordinate with production and sales to develop and meet shipping objectives.
  • Track daily status of product out for tempering.
  • Perform shipping transactions and data entry in the Inventory management module.
  • Schedule warehouse staff to meet production schedule and customer service needs using PayCom.
  • Document and train procedures to warehouse staff regarding safety, GMP, and operational processes.
  • Plan work assignments for warehouse personnel.
  • Evaluate work performance of subordinates and make recommendations regarding promotion.
  • Maintain all corporate safety, sanitation, and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain accepted record keeping for all stored product.
  • Promote safety in the department and ensure that all personnel adhere to all safety regulations including the wearing of all essential personal protective equipment.
  • Facilitate company standards and operating procedures per company policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that all personnel are following all food safety and personal hygiene practices.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, consistent punctuality, and a conscientious attitude at all times.
  • Act professionally towards customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.
