About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising, coaching, and mentoring STAR/CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) which include Service Coordinators/Case Managers, UM/ECM RN, and support staff. The primary goal is to ensure the achievement of department goals and objectives. The role also acts as a process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long-term supports and services (LTSS).

Requirements

• Registered Nurse
• Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience
• Bachelors in Nursing Science (BSN) required
• 3 to 5 years case management or utilization management experience required
• Proficiency in use of computer applications
• Typing speed (35 words per minute minimum)
• Strong skills in Oral and written communication
• Strong skills in Problem-solving
• Strong skills in Organization and time management
• Strong skills in Customer service
• Strong skills in Knowledge of adult teaching and learning
• Strong skills in Coaching
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas

Nice To Haves

• Certification in case management (CCM) preferred
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
