About The Position
The Supervisor, Operations (Job Coach) at Deseret Industries in Murray, UT, plays a pivotal role in leading, managing, and mentoring store associates who face various barriers to employment. In the realm of store operations, the Supervisor is responsible for training and developing store associates, overseeing store openings and closures, and managing performance. This role requires a strong interface with the public to enhance customer satisfaction and sales, while also ensuring successful interactions between store associates and customers. The Supervisor will lead a team of 12-25 store associates, many of whom may have disabilities or other challenges that hinder their path to self-reliance. The Supervisor will implement behavior management techniques to drive performance, manage training programs, and oversee the logistics of store operations, including retail sales, merchandising, and donation processing. They will also be responsible for maintaining a confidential database of work and productivity behaviors for each associate, providing regular assessments, and driving improvements based on data observations. This role is crucial in modeling work behaviors and ensuring that associates adhere to critical work standards, thereby fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
