The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance department, diagnosing equipment failures, and repairing problems as they arise. This role involves supervising, coordinating, and leading employees and activities within the Mechanical Maintenance Department, focusing on preventative and predictive maintenance. You will supervise and develop personnel within the mechanical maintenance department, including training, performance management, and scheduling activities. Additionally, you will schedule and assign preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, manage inventory of spares, prepare departmental reports, and supervise construction, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. You will work cooperatively with other departments and vendors to meet plant objectives and manage the department budget, while also maintaining knowledge of industry-wide technological developments.
