Reports to the Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy Operations514079205, Rhode Island Hospital (RIH). Responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day medication preparation and distribution services, and workflow processes at RIH. Develops and maintains an effective work group consisting of direct report professional and supportive personnel to ensure that the Pharmacy's medication preparation and dispensing operations are provided in accordance with RI Department of Health (DoH) Board of Pharmacy and federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) rules and regulations and comply with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, National Patient Safety Goals and established internal policies and procedures. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities, to ensure that the customers' expectations are met or exceeded. Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and budgets for Pharmacy Services.
