About The Position

The Supervisor - Gas Operations role supervises the maintenance, repair, and restoration of gas distribution facilities, project and resources management, customer involvement and monitoring of work. What you will do: Supervises crews during outages to ensure timely restoration of service. Schedules, assigns, and monitors the work of maintenance crews, Servicemen, and/or contractors. Pre/post inspect jobs, resolve design problems and materials discrepancies, reviews contractor expenses to ensure accurate time and equipment charges. Ensure proper work methods are applied, and safety precautions are followed. Resolves customer complaints. Advises and assists in technical training and development of employees. Supervises emergency restoration of service activities, including night management of packaging work. Utilization of CCS, Salesforce, GIS, and SAP applications. Monitors budget goals and employee productivity. Supports reliability performance goals. The supervisor will need to be available 24x7 (including nights and weekends) to answer calls on an as-needed basis. Depending on the nature of the call, the supervisor is also expected to be available to respond to the work site/office if needed. The supervisor will have on call duties at more than one shop and may be asked to work at other C&M north locations. Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of directly related experience. OR Associate’s degree with 7+ years of directly related experience. OR High School diploma or GED with 9+ years of directly related experience. Directly related experience can be in gas operations or general construction Who you are: Full knowledge of pipeline distribution systems; construction work methods, maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost analysis; customer service; essential computer skills. Ability to effectively supervise a diverse work group. Proven planning, organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to communicate across a broad range of disciplines to develop rapport, synergies and effective relationships. Manages multiple projects and construction projects simultaneously. Ability to effectively utilize a personal computer and the associated programs, systems and databases.

Requirements

  • Directly related experience can be in gas operations or general construction

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience in a related operations or technical field preferred.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
