We’re seeking a skilled Fire Suppression Technician (Special Hazards) to join our West Springfield, MA team. Requirements

  • Past experience in Fire Suppression required
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • MA CC-47 Engineer Systems certification required
  • Must have valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the state of Rhode Island

Nice To Haves

  • MA CC-48 Pre-Engineered Fixed Systems certification preferred
  • MA CC-46 Portable Fire Extinguishers certification preferred
  • MA CC-41 Self-Serve Facilities certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain special hazard fire suppression systems, including but not limited to:
  • Clean agent systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230)
  • CO₂ systems
  • Foam suppression systems
  • Water mist systems
  • Explosion suppression or detection systems
  • Verify proper system operation through functional and acceptance testing
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot system issues or deficiencies
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 2001, 12, 750), local regulations, and company standards
  • Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site to support successful project execution.
  • Document inspections, maintenance, and service activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Being a positive and professional representative of Encore while dealing with customers, directly and indirectly
  • Must have the ability to work alone and in team setting.
