About The Position

The Supportive Housing Worker is responsible for assuring a safe environment at the facility during the evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates ability through prior work experience to be competent in the position

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all individuals who enter the facility and ensure that they sign in and out.
  • Monitor facility cameras, fire alarms, etc. to ensure all are working properly.
  • Be fully trained to respond to crisis and emergency situations.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss concerns regarding programs and person(s) served.
  • Serve as an appropriate role model for person(s) served.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
  • Supervise residential property to ensure person(s) served are following house rules.
  • Orient new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining facility rules and encouraging participation.
  • Provide feedback to the Treatment Team, via notes and/or staffing.
  • Document and report concerns and infractions.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
