About The Position

CSPNJ a mental health nonprofit agency is looking for a Supportive Housing Assistant in Atlantic City. Under the direct supervision of the Regional Outreach Coordinator the SHA will perform a variety of administrative duties that support the Coordinator and the operations and success of Atlantic City’s TBRA and Supportive Services Program.. HIGHLIGHTS Assess person's served needs and provide information and community referrals including clothing, food, shelter, housing services, rental assistance, general assistance, etc. Play a critical role in facilitating access to housing services, ensuring that individuals and families find safe, affordable, and appropriate living arrangements. Stays abreast of community resources available to assist persons served through financial, healthcare, educational and other services that may be needed. Full-time | Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED with 2 years of mental health experience or Bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline.
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, assessment skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of community resources and how to access them.
  • Experience with real estate and knowledge of State and local housing regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
