About The Position

The Supporting Auditor position at The Spear Group involves working in the life sciences and biopharma industry to ensure financial capital compliance for construction projects. The role focuses on supporting the finance process and controls team in executing a risk-based annual audit plan, with an emphasis on global compliance audit activities. The ideal candidate will utilize technology and data management tools to enhance audit and risk management processes, contributing to the success of pharma construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey, Accounting - Audit, Project/Cost Controls, Construction Management, or Finance.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical Research & Development Industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of information technology and ability to use various applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of construction, project management, and contract management best practices is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with compliance senior management and external suppliers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills and a desire to improve.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Attention to detail, tenacity, and ability to multi-task are essential.
  • Comfortable in an environment of changing technologies and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Experience with various cost reporting applications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key support function to the Global Senior Manager(s) and Senior Auditor(s).
  • Perform and support end-to-end construction compliance audits for assigned projects.
  • Conduct invoice reviews, external document verifications, and data analytics related to construction projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit work paper documentation to support reported audit results.
  • Review all audit work with the senior auditor or global senior manager before reporting findings.
  • Advise internal business partners and suppliers of non-compliance issues and negotiate resolutions.
  • Follow through to closure on all findings that are out of compliance.
  • Respond to internal and external customers in a service-oriented manner.
  • Learn specific skills and processes related to the end-to-end audit process and CAPA documentation.
