About The Position

RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a non profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Bachelor's Level Supported Employment Specialist to provide employment-related social services. You will function as a career coach for individuals who have experienced mental health and/or substance abuse issues that have impacted their employment, making a difference in everyday lives. This position will be based in our LaFollette, TN, office with service to Campbell, Union, and Claiborne counties. Workday travel to Union and Claiborne counties will be weekly. Requirements

• IPS (Individual Placement & Support) Employment and Education Specialists have Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in education, social work, human resources, healthcare, or disability related field of study or Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in another field and two (2) or more years of experience in education, social work, human resources, healthcare, or disability related field
• Ridgeview conducts Background Checks, Motor Vehicle Records, License/Degree Verification, and Drug Screens at hire. Employment is contingent upon clean drug screen, background check and driving record.

Responsibilities

• The Supported Employment Specialist develops supported employment and/or supported education opportunities with persons with substance use disorders, mental illness, and/or co-occurring disorders by participating in an integrated care setting and providing ongoing educational and employment supports.
