About The Position

Do you encourage diversity in the work force? Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Full-time Supported Employment Associate. Two years of related experience is required for this position. Our Supported Employment Associates serve as program managers for participants assigned to their caseload by providing job coaching or arranging for job coaching for program participants. They help to solicit feedback from employers on the effectiveness of job coaching, maintain positive relationships with employers and funders, and aid employers in identifying and creating job accommodations and assistive devices as needed. This position will require the accurate and timely completion of data entry and reports as required by funders and the finance department. This includes progress reports and up to date case file information. This will also include monitoring and controlling expenses, such as billable hours, client funding, and reimbursed expenses.

Requirements

  • Two years of full-time employment in a related field required
  • Post secondary education may be substituted for one year of required employment
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Successful completion of motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Serve as program manager for participants assigned to caseload.
  • Provide job coaching and/or arrange for job coaching for program participants.
  • Assist in orienting clients to the host employer's policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Solicit feedback from employers on effectiveness of job coaching and participant fit for job.
  • Maintain positive relationships with employers and funders.
  • Aid employer with identifying and creating job accommodations and assistive devices as needed.
  • Accurately complete data entry and reports as required by funders and Finance.
  • Develop Individual Service Plans, progress reports and maintain accurate and up to date case file information.
  • Monitor and control expense and ensure efficiency in mission services, including billable hours, client funding, and reimbursed expenses.
  • Utilize community organizations to provide needed wrap around support for participants.
  • Assist with transportation to job as needed
