Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Supportability Engineer - Avionics to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Melbourne, FL . This position is fully onsite with no remote work available. Accomplish You should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. You should be well organized, pay a great deal of attention to detail, possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to present design concepts to an audience. You must be able to work well with co-workers, other groups and external suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree in STEM
  • Your ability to obtain and or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access (es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company

Nice To Haves

  • Active, in scope DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Experience with testability, troubleshooting, fault trees and/or FMECA
  • Familiarity with GEIA-0007 and relational databases
  • Experience with testability, troubleshooting, fault trees and/or FMECA.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, quantify and influence logistics requirements to support a weapon system including spares, Support Equipment, technical data, training, facilities, and personnel
  • Interface with vehicle engineering to influence weapon system design for supportability
  • Initiate and perform trade studies
  • Perform detailed maintenance task analysis
  • Determine overall weapon support system requirements
