Rock Creek Cattle Company is looking for Support Staff who bring energy, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. This role is essential to keeping our restaurant running smoothly—from the kitchen to the floor to our Members’ tables. Seasonal Opportunity: Approximately April 27, 2026 - October 11, 2026 Shifts: part-time (no housing available) / full-time (potential housing opportunity) Hours: up to 50 hours per week Limited availability housing. Candidates may inquire with the hiring manager. Housing is not guaranteed. Rent is $395/month with a refundable deposit of $150 if approved. At this time, we are not allowing new pets. Job Summary: Ensure the efficient and accurate flow of food orders from the kitchen to Members. Support staff ensure orders are prepared correctly, prioritized appropriately, and delivered efficiently while assisting with final dish preparation and presentation. This role serves as a key communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. Support staff are responsible for effectively completing the responsibilities and job duties outlined below while maintaining constant communication with Management regarding progress and setbacks. These duties are subject to revision based on operational demands.

  • Frequent exposure to hot surfaces, sharp objects, and other potential kitchen or service-related hazards.
  • Ability to visually identify food items, order details, and safety concerns, and to hear verbal cues and instructions in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient flow of orders from the Cattlemen’s Club kitchen to Members.
  • Ensure orders are being prepared accurately, timely, and in the correct order of priority.
  • Check dishes prior to delivery for accuracy, presentation, and proper temperature.
  • Provide Servers with accurate and up-to-date wait times for food orders.
  • Assist with the final preparation of dishes, including but not limited to garnishes and plate finishing.
  • Act as a primary point of communication between the Cattlemen’s Club kitchen and floor staff.
  • Review orders for modifications, including but not limited to the removal of allergens.
  • Communicate all order modifications and special instructions, including allergen-related needs, to essential kitchen and service team members.
  • Follow and practice Company standards for serving Members with food allergies, including double-checking that food has been produced without allergens and clearly communicating allergen-free items to Servers and Food Runners.
  • Contribute to an exceptional Member experience by consistently meeting and striving to exceed expectations.
  • Deliver prepared food to cabins and other designated service locations as assigned.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and safe food handling standards are maintained at all times.
  • Facilitate efficient and effective set-up and organization of the Cattlemen’s Club restaurant and service stations, including but not limited to beverage stations, the expo station, and host station.
  • When applicable, consistently follow recipes, portioning, and production standards as outlined by Company protocols.
  • Follow and practice Company steps of service at all times.
  • Complete side work and opening or closing duties efficiently, checking out with Management before clocking out and leaving the shift.
  • Proactively warn employees and Members of potential hazards, including but not limited to knives, hot skillets, molten food cores, or changes in flooring such as inclines or declines.
  • Maintain Company cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all assigned work areas.
  • Remain informed and up to date on specials, features, and menu deviations, including discontinued or depleted items.
  • Promptly report Member concerns, injuries, accidents, or other high-risk issues to Management.
  • Promptly report employee and personal (“self”) concerns, injuries, accidents, or other high-risk issues to Management.
  • Promptly and enthusiastically answer incoming phone calls and, when applicable, accurately take carry-out food orders through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Promptly and enthusiastically greet Members picking up carry-out orders or entering the building and, when applicable, accurately process payments and orders through the POS system.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and all mandatory staff meetings.
  • If permitted by law, notify and receive approval from Management prior to taking required or optional breaks.
  • Accurately record time worked through proper clock-in/clock-out procedures.
  • Monitor personal payroll hours and notify Management when approaching overtime thresholds.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as needed, supporting the team during unexpected or high-demand moments.
