About The Position

Support Worker ASC - Day Service (full time or part time) Who Are We? The Percy Hedley Foundation is one of the largest regional charities supporting people with a range of learning and physical needs. We take a person centred, flexible approach to the care and support we provide. We have five sites providing specialist education, adult day services, residential care and independent supported living to our service users. Our sites are based in Forest Hall, Killingworth, Jesmond, Newcastle City Centre and North Shields. Hedley’s Horizons is part of Adult Services which support individuals to participate in a variety of activities and enterprise sessions. It offers a busy, vibrant, and varied environment that supports disabled adults with autism, communication and sensory impairments and complex needs. We are looking to recruit support workers to be based in our new service Hedley’s Horizons North Shields (on occasion you may need to work at the other sites in Killingworth and Forest Hall). Experience of working with individuals with ASC would be essential with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The role will involve working full days. For part time applicants the days would be agreed dependent on service requirements. Mondays 8.45am - 4.15pm Tuesdays 8.45am - 4.00pm Wednesdays 8.45am - 4.00pm (6.00pm once every 4 weeks) Thursdays 8.45am- 4.00pm Fridays 8.45am - 4.00pm It is important to be a real team player. Requirements

Experience of working with individuals with ASC would be essential with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
