About The Position

The Support Technician - Help Desk role at DCRS Solutions involves providing technical support for POS applications through live help desk assistance and on-site visits. The position requires diagnosing and resolving issues related to POS software applications, networking, and operating systems, as well as performing hardware repairs on various POS peripherals. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction and will have opportunities for advancement based on performance and technical skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to restore systems to full operation with minimal downtime while maintaining client rapport.
  • Knowledge in PC hardware, Networking, TCP/IP, and Windows 7/8/10 and Server 2008/2012.
  • Excellent health and ability to carry medium to heavy weight equipment (approx. 40+ lbs).
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A+ and Network+ Certifications or willingness to secure them with assistance.
  • Knowledge of the geographical area within a 200-mile radius of St. Louis.

Responsibilities

  • Support all POS applications offered by DCRS through live help desk and on-site visits.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to POS software applications, networking, and operating systems.
  • Perform hardware repairs on POS touchscreen terminals, tablets, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Be available for on-call hours approximately once a month on a rotating basis.
  • Achieve Senior On-Call status by learning to support multiple software applications and hardware products within the first 5 months.
  • Perform hardware installs or software system upgrades as an Advanced Senior Technician.
