As a member of our Support Staff, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that families and guests feel supported and cared for during funeral and memorial services. While you will be based out of our Aurora chapel, you may also be asked to assist at our Lakewood location as needed. Your responsibilities may include: Greeting and assisting families and guests Preparing for and supporting funeral and memorial services Escorting families to cemetery services Performing light administrative tasks Maintaining the appearance and readiness of the funeral home This is an excellent part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys making a difference in the lives of others. Requirements
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicators with a warm, respectful demeanor
- Able to treat families, colleagues, and community members with dignity and empathy
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- A high school diploma or GED
- A minimum of three months of similar or related experience
- The position requires the ability to tolerate exposure to hazardous substances subject to government requirements; occasional lifting, pushing and pulling, with assistance, of objects up to approximately 600 pounds; manual dexterity required for clerical tasks; occasional stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and carrying objects weighing up to approximately 30 pounds for short distances
- Ability to travel by standard methods of transportation.
- Conservative professional dress as detailed in dress code policy
- Possess a valid Drivers’ License and meet the driving performance standards as determined by management. MVR’s may be reviewed annually for compliance, and any conviction or at-fault accidents should be immediately reported to management
- Ability to work in a team environment
