We are seeking a part time, weekend 8am - 8pm Support Staff Technician to be the welcoming first point of contact for patients, visitors, and partners at River Bend Hospital, West Lafayette Indiana. This role is key to keeping hospital operations running smoothly while ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
Ability to stay calm, professional, and compassionate in fast-paced situations
Pre-employment requirements include drug screening, TB testing, background check, and fingerprinting.
Flu vaccination is required and COVID vaccination is recommended.

Nice To Haves

Two years of office or administrative experience preferred
CPR Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, assess needs (including crisis situations), and connect them with appropriate staff
Answer, route, and document routine and emergency calls; page staff and announce codes as needed
Manage visitor access, issue passes, and explain hospital policies
Support admissions and discharges by documenting activity in the electronic medical record
Inventory, store, and return patient valuables
Coordinate room scheduling and assist with general clerical tasks
Respond to alarms and emergencies per hospital protocols
Communicate professionally, maintain confidentiality, and support a positive team environment
Participate in quality improvement and ongoing training
