About The Position

The ESE Classroom Aide plays a crucial role in supporting teachers by assisting with the implementation of individual education plans for exceptional students. This position requires physical capability to handle various weights and demands, ensuring a conducive learning environment for students with special needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an Associate's degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited college, or a passing score of 464 or higher on the Paraprofessional Test.
• Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for exceptional students.
• Support students in their daily activities and learning tasks.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff regarding student progress.

Benefits

• $500.00 additional for 60+ Semester Hours added to base salary.
• $750.00 additional for Associate or Higher Degree added to base salary.
