Our Office Specialists are a key player in providing clerical support to caseworkers and supervisors at the Child Welfare agency. Join our dedicated Child Welfare (CWP) team in Beaverton as a Support Staff member (Office Specialist 2) (Bilingual English/Spanish required). Bilingual English/Spanish required: This position is bilingual and requires duties to be carried out in both English and Spanish. The job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test. Together, we can create lasting change!

Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
  • An associate degree in any field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (the job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the lobby, answer phones, answer inquiries and explain rules and policies.
  • Distribute and issue parking permits (employees), issue cash vouchers, bus passes, fishing, parent mileage and logs transactions (TRACS, OR-Kids).
  • Assist protective service staff with data entry into OR-Kids.
  • Request records which may include, but is not limited to, police reports, out of state histories, court records, physical or mental health records.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and rescheduling of all visits for the branch office.
  • Research parent information, calls, mails letters and documents.
