About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year custodial experience.
• Possess a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to operate all custodial equipment assigned to the Buildings and Grounds Department.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, cleaning job cards, maintenance instructions, and policies.
• Demonstrate working knowledge and skills of computer use for tracking and documenting tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of building materials containing asbestos.
• Working knowledge of ALICE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean, disinfect, and reline trash cans.
• Disinfect, clean, and straighten tables, desks, and chairs.
• Remove mineral deposits from drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
• Disinfect, check, and refill paper towel and soap dispensers.
• Clean glass and disinfect vertical and horizontal surfaces as well as all touch points.
• Vacuum mats, carpet, and track; clean carpet; dust and damp mop hard floors.
• Secure building at the conclusion of shift.
• Set up and tear down for building meetings and activities.
• Assist in the maintenance of lawns, landscaping, and playgrounds.
• Observe and report issues associated with heating, A/C, ventilation, electrical and mechanical systems.
