Support Professional - Personal Health Care
About The Position
TDAS is seeking friendly, outgoing, reliable people to work with adults with physical disabilities with personal health care needs in Wake & Orange County. Staff will: · Provide one-on-one direct care support to adults at home and in the community; provide transportation in the person’s wheelchair accessible van · provide personal hands-on care including: dressing, hygiene, mobility assistance, g-tube feedings and medication administration. · complete timely and detailed documentation of the services performed in an EHR online system. The right employee will be comfortable talking to and assisting someone who has receptive language and limited verbal communication. Staff should be outgoing and have a positive personality. Staff will demonstrate the ability to stay calm in a variety of situations.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting individuals with personal and healthcare needs required
- Pass background screening including criminal record, driving record, and drug testing (this is not a pre-employment requirement)
- Ability to transfer person of approximately 100 lbs. without assistance of a lift
