About The Position

As a Support Partner you will be providing direct support in partnership with people with disabilities, on a one-to-one basis, in their own homes and communities. Services include direct support in the form of community involvement and/or accommodation with all activities of daily living including personal care, communication, transportation and inclusive social and recreational activities. We are looking to partner with people who are creative, energetic and like to have fun. We are looking for people who want to ensure that ALL people's rights are secured, that people can live a self-determined life and who believe in equity! This is a very rewarding position, perfect for someone with an interest in special education, psychology, sociology, social work; and all related fields. Personal or professional experience with people with intellectual disabilities and a mental health diagnosis is a plus but not a requirement. In this position, you would be supporting an individual who lives in Chester, PA (near Parkside/Brookhaven). This person enjoys music- specifically 70’s Rock Hits. He enjoys drawing, taking care of his turtle, vintage cars, visiting nurseries, museums, etc. The individual is shy and requires staff who are highly motivated to help the person find new activities to engage in the community. SHIFTS AVAILABLE: EVERY OTHER Saturday and Sunday: 8AM - 4PM We know not everyone who finds themselves upon this job posting will fit exactly what is described above. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year experience supporting people to live in the community.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle, proof of current vehicle registration, inspection, and insurance.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Be or willing to be Covid-19 Vaccinated prior to employment.
