About The Position

Establish a support maintenance program. Provide appropriate, timely maintenance and preventative maintenance to the environmental control equipment, HVAC equipment, and production support equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Minimum high school diploma plus seven (7) years of maintenance experience OR a Technical degree and a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience.
  • Advanced maintenance knowledge required.
  • Advanced knowledge of 480-volt 3 ph. Electricity.
  • HVAC knowledge.
  • General understanding of PLC controls, logic, and programming.
  • Familiarization with company, facility, departments, equipment, procedures, and set-ups, while working on the job with personnel in the respective areas.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting product, process, and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
  • Controlling nonconforming products
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
  • Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
  • Housekeeping
  • Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
  • Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on all production and facility equipment, with minimal supervision, utilizing accepted procedures and tools to insure minimal downtime and maximum operating efficiency.
  • May work irregular hours and weekends as production and maintenance needs dictate.
  • Subject to fumes, dust, noise, dirt, and some temperature extremes.
  • performs general maintenance on all equipment.
  • plant shutdowns and start-ups.
  • Parts & material requisition.
  • Perform specialized maintenance procedures.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes maintenance schedule.
  • General knowledge of function and operation of robotics.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities.
  • Supervise and train lower-level maintenance personnel during rebuild, repair or installation of machinery and equipment.
  • Take over Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities when needed.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor in planning and decision-making process.
  • Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions

  • ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS DUST COLLECTION SYSTEMS, MUA UNITS, PROCESS EXHAUST FANS, AND CENTRAL VACUUM SYSTEMS.
  • HVAC systems including air conditioning, office furnaces, and water heaters.
  • Production support equipment to include air compressors and dryers, heat exchangers, and water-cooling systems.
  • General and Tooling Maintenance Support including downtime back-up, vacation coverage, backlog assistance, troubleshooting specialist and special projects.
  • PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT INCLUDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, ANNUAL MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROGRAM EXPANSION ASSISTANCE.
  • PARTS PROCUREMENT SUPPORT INCLUDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PROGRAM EXPANSION ASSISTANCE.
