About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is adding a dual-impact leader at the Fort Walton Beach campus, balancing operational execution with site advocacy. As the Technical Publications Manager, the position is directly accountable for the quality and delivery of high-priority statements of work. As the Site Leader for Maintenance Engineering, the position will champion cultural health, foster high-performance teams, and serve as the primary liaison to Boeing site leadership. Technical Publications Manager Role: Operational Manager Scope: Direct management and accountability for a specific, high-priority Technical Publications Statement of Work. Leadership Model: Provide active, direct leadership to an onsite team specifically tasked with the execution and delivery of technical publications. Execution: Responsible for the assigned statement of work, including quality, schedule, and performance metrics. Authority & Accountability: Talent Alignment: Ensure the team consists of personnel with the exact skills and expertise required for technical publication success. Resource Management: Deploy the necessary systems, tools, and processes at the right time to meet business partner requirements. Continuous Improvement: Optimize business processes to ensure the team remains efficient and ready for future program demands. Maintenance Engineering Site Leadership Role: Administrative & Cultural Site Leader Scope: Serve as the onsite champion and cultural leader for the Maintenance Engineering organization at the Fort Walton Beach campus. Leadership Model: Provide administrative, cultural, and moral support to Maintenance Engineering employees and their respective First Line leaders located on the Fort Walton Beach Campus. Execution: While not responsible for the direct execution of the entire Maintenance Engineering SOW assigned to the campus or the direct supervision of these employees, this role ensures the health, engagement, and alignment of the organization. Key Interfacing: Act as the primary liaison between Maintenance Engineering and the Boeing Fort Walton Beach site leadership, ensuring integrated communication and site-level advocacy. Authority: Fostering a high-performance culture across diverse campus groups. Ensuring first-line leaders have the administrative backing and moral support to lead their teams effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams (people management, mentoring, performance management)
  • 5+ years of experience managing EVM metrics
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
  • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
