Snapsheet is looking for a Support Engineer to join our IT Team! As a Support Engineer, you will be a key problem solver for our internal customers, dedicated to maintaining quick, secure, and reliable systems. You will focus on driving efficiency, seeking opportunities to automate manual processes, and working collaboratively with the team and the Director of IT to build solutions that support Snapsheet’s rapid growth. Note: You must be located in the Chicago area or willing to relocate to be eligible.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related STEM degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical aptitude for problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and organize and complete work based on priority
  • Interested in learning from other professionals and growing their skills
  • Previous technical experience or internships are a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Jira Service Desk, Google Workspaces administration, and Microsoft Entra administration
  • Experience with Bash, PHP, Python, Ruby, and/or Powershell is a plus
  • Overarching key ability to be able to understand not just the underlying components, but how they fit together to create the system as a whole
  • Operational background is a plus
  • Strong time management skills and can effectively prioritize
  • Proven examples of your ability to project confidence and helpfulness to your team and colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for our internal users
  • Handle internal support tickets learning about our teams and tech stack so you can triage and escalate tickets to the appropriate team when necessary
  • Vendor software application installation and troubleshooting
  • Local and remote helpdesk support, resolving problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitoring and responding quickly and effectively to requests
  • Documenting internal procedures
  • Desktop equipment ordering, imaging, application onboarding, shipping, and physical setup for new hires
  • Be a part of an on-call rotation
