About The Position

The Support Engineer role at Amazon's AccSys team focuses on delivering robust and highly available services to internal customers. The position involves designing and automating solutions for physical security systems infrastructure while maintaining existing global infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IT infrastructure technologies, particularly in Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Java, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, or Support Engineering.
• 2 or more years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a cloud environment.
• Demonstrable experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Ability to program and automate tasks using scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

Nice To Haves

• Experience administrating Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Experience writing efficient SQL queries.
• 2+ years supporting web-based applications using JavaScript, Python, and AWS Cloud Technologies.
• Experience supporting highly-scalable globally-distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement, document, monitor, and maintain critical systems for Amazon employees.
• Provide technical service ownership and system design.
• Conduct capacity planning for infrastructure needs.
• Handle on-call technical support for system issues.
