As a support crew member, you will load, unload, and transport furniture, office equipment, boxed supplies, and machinery, ensuring the safe handling of materials through protective padding, security measures, and load balancing. You will lift, move, unpack, and assemble furniture and fixtures, and ensure their precise placement as directed by the design group. Among other duties, you will read work orders and layouts, set up and break down events as outlined in diagrams, and complete assigned work orders neatly. You will also document issues in the work order system for resolution. In this role, you will follow schedules and deadlines, maintain furniture inventory records, and ensure materials are properly stored across various locations. You will inform your supervisor of issues or when assistance from other crafts is needed and be available to handle emergencies as required. Additionally, you will adhere to all SCAD and OSHA policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment, present a professional appearance at all times, and perform other duties as assigned. If an applicant fails the DOT physical due to a claimed disability under the ADA and notifies the university of this, the university will engage in the interactive process with the applicant to determine if a reasonable accommodation exists that would enable them to perform the essential functions of the position.
