About The Position

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Receives on-the-job training on acceptable case work methods and techniques.
  • Provides clerical and supportive services to staff within the Child Welfare Division.
  • Identifies appropriate and available services for families and documents case plan information.
  • Prepares and maintains records, completes required forms and reports, and enters information into the Trails database.
  • Makes contacts with collaterals and community partners to obtain case information and coordinate services.
  • Attends training sessions to learn concepts, principles, practices, and application of case work.
  • Trains and assists in interviewing clients and family members, documenting family history, and developing treatment plans.
  • Assists in the establishment and maintenance of case files, records, and other required documentation.
  • Represents the department in accordance with CDHS and city rules and regulations.
