About The Position

Boone County Family Resources is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Support Coordinator Mentor. Support Coordinator Mentors assist with the development and ongoing support of Support Coordinators. They work collaboratively with both new and current staff to help ensure that services are provided in a way that best meets individual client needs, in a manner that maintains compliance with applicable rules and regulations of certifying and oversight agencies, that maximizes available resources, and that ensures the health, safety, and welfare of clients served. Additionally, they are expected to have or be able to learn, the knowledge and skills required to effectively mentor and train staff on support coordination activities across the lifespan. The job requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees, in-person interaction with outside colleagues and/or persons served, and immediate access to documents, equipment, or other information located only in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University or Registered Nurse license.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Access to an insured and properly maintained vehicle for transportation
  • Operate that vehicle in a safe and prudent manner to comply with all applicable laws

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of related experience, preferably working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
