The Box Room Material Handler and Machine Operator positions involve working with product codes and packaging requirements associated with each code. The roles require operating a box making machine and being familiar with all tasks in the department. Responsibilities include setting up equipment properly and efficiently, making necessary adjustments, and completing the required paperwork associated with machinery and job duties. Knowledge of CFS labeling and scanners is necessary, along with the ability to maintain cleanliness and order in CFS cabinets. The positions also require the physical inspection of packaging materials for defects, which may include foreign matter, rips, damage, or missing/incorrect labels. Employees must identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management, including product tampering, willful product adulteration, or equipment malfunctions that may jeopardize product wholesomeness. Additionally, the Material Handler will assist in checking in and unloading deliveries, checking inventory, and operating a pallet jack. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and employees must be able to work and rotate on Class I and Class II positions.
