At Belk, we have a vision to reimagine the department store. As a Support Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service to each and every customer. You will ensure that new receipts are merchandised in a way that aligns with our brand, appeals to our customers, and encourages purchases. Most importantly, you will work closely with a team that is dedicated to caring for our customers in an environment where we thrive by winning together. Your responsibilities will include proactively greeting and engaging customers warmly and with a smile, supporting the store to meet or exceed its customer service goals, and handling each customer transaction in a professional and friendly manner. You will thank each customer by name following a purchase and offer assistance proactively without prompt. Utilizing suggestive selling techniques with all customers is essential, as is meeting or exceeding solicitation goals for the Belk credit Rewards program and Clienteling goals, where applicable. You will also need to understand the Store Assortment for your assigned department, as well as inventory available at other stores and on belk.com. In this role, you will use mobile devices to complete sales, digital computer-based Point-of-Sale systems, and other digital technology to enhance the customer shopping experience. You will inform customers about the Belk App and use the Belk website to look up merchandise and complete in-store orders. Working professionally and pleasantly with co-workers, customers, and managers to accomplish defined tasks is vital. You will maintain Belk's professional dress standards and appearance, ensure the floor and stock areas are consistent with store standards, and support the Operations Team to ensure new merchandise is unpacked and displayed in a timely manner. Following the ROCC the Dock process and ensuring timely set-up for promotional events are also part of your responsibilities. Compliance with store policies, including attendance and tardiness, is expected, as well as accepting additional duties during busy times as requested by the Sales Team Manager.
