About The Position

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal service.
  • Experience in providing supplies and materials to clinical and administrative areas.
  • Knowledge of scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing, and distributing supplies.
  • Ability to monitor expiration dates and maintain clean environments.
  • Experience utilizing an automated system to maintain inventory.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical supply management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Pull stock inventory and materials for delivery.
  • Replenish stock inventory and maintain records on stock levels.
  • Interact with clinical and administrative customers regarding supplies.
  • Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock to limit outages.
  • Remove items from use as required by outages.
  • Perform daily inventory using bar coding equipment.
  • Resolve discrepancies between records and physical counts of stock.
  • Distribute items according to established requirements in computerized inventory management systems.
  • Deliver supplies in a timely manner, ensuring they are in sterile and operational condition.
  • Complete specialty cart preparation and clean assigned areas according to aseptic principles.
  • Receive supplies and materials into the medical center's catchment area.
