About The Position

The Supply Technician serves as the primary point of contact for resolving supply and service issues, including shipment discrepancies, back orders, and property accountability concerns. This role researches and analyzes supply operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides technical guidance to improve processes and automation. The Team Specialist supports property book management, promotes adherence to supply procedures, and collaborates with units and leadership to ensure accurate accountability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in supply, logistics, property accountability, or related operational support functions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, document control, and inventory/accountability systems.
  • Familiarity with property book management, hand receipts, adjustment documents, and accountable recordkeeping.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations and procedures (e.g., AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, DA PAM 735-5, or equivalent standards).
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex supply discrepancies and customer service issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with units, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance, support process improvement initiatives, and follow up to ensure issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and resolves customer complaints such as lost shipments, issue shortages, back orders on priority requisitions, erroneously canceled requisitions, excessive order shipment times, warehouse refusals, etc.
  • Researches such areas as document flow and control, report accuracy, funds utilization, priority management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides input to supervisors and program managers to correct procedural problems on automation and improve overall operations.
  • Follow up to ensure issues have been resolved to the satisfaction of the customers and supervisor.
  • Makes regular contact and visits with other USPFO activities, maintenance activities, supported units, inventory control points, supply activities from their states, and higher headquarters to gather information and resolve supply problems.
  • Provide technical evaluation of property book management, hand receipts, adjustment documents, all accountable records, and other property accountability document issues for the SLMS and IAW AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1, and DA PAM 735-5.
  • Assess property accountability, provide technical assistance and instruction, promote adherence to supply procedures and facilitate procedures to cultivate and enhance equipment accountability.
  • Assist unit Property Book Officer (PBO) with maintenance of property book accountability and supporting documentation.
