About The Position

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served the greater San Diego community since 1924. For more than a century, we continue to provide distinguished care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs. Scripps La Jolla was the first in San Diego to be designated a Magnet Hospital by the American Nursing Association. Scripps La Jolla shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a Level I Trauma Center, and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. We're also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is a part-time, varied shift position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The Supply Tech is responsible for maintaining par supply areas such as: ordering, stocking, replenishing, and delivering supplies to all areas of the hospital or clinic. Responsible for managing storeroom supplies, performing periodic cycle counting. The Supply Tech will be able to utilize inventory management systems and hand held devices according to policy and procedures. Responsibe for checking for outdates, recall of product thoughout the hospital and clinic. Must maintain a clean and organized supply area (s). #LI-JS1

Requirements

  • 2-3 Years supply experience, knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Must be able to utilize computer systems, inventory management tools and systems, and hand held devices.
  • The supply tech will need to pass initial 90 day competency and yearly competency as it relates to the position.
